To set up the "Exceptions" for the product options:
- As soon as the product options are added in Product options section of the Update products page in the panel, click on the Exceptions button below the list of the product options. The Exceptions page will be open.
- Under the Add new combination section use the drop-down boxes to create the unavailable combination and click on the Add new button. The combination will be added to the list of unavailable option combinations. A customer will not be able to select this option combination on the product details page.
- Also there is the Exception style setting on Settings page to regulate exception behavior. Its value is Hide excepted variants by default. This means, the defined unavailable option combinations will be removed from the product options when they are displayed in the storefront. Another value of the Exception style setting is Show warning on exception. This means that all variants of product options will be displayed, but if a customer selects unavailable option combination, he will see the Unfortunately this combination is not accessible notification.
