Removal of demo information

There is an ability not to record demo information when installing CS-Cart. You should disable the Install demo catalog option while installing, and some demo data (products, manufacturers, orders, discounts, news and banners) will not be added to your CS-Cart database.

There is no single option to remove all this information at once in installed CS-Cart.

But there is an ability to remove it on the corresponding pages (the Manage products, Manufacturers, Manage orders, Discounts and coupons, Site news and Manage ads pages).

To remove this information:

1. Delete all demo products. There are two ways to do it:
   1. Open the Manage categories page and delete all the demo categories - all the demo products will be deleted as well.
   2. Open the Manage products page (the link to this page is in the CATALOG sidebox in your administrator panel). Then select Full list in the Range: option and select the left top check box next to Code (all products will be selected). After that click on the Delete selected button.
2. Remove manufacturer information. In order to do it click on the Manufacturers link in the CATALOG side box, then select the left top check box next to POS. (all manufactures will be selected in the list). After that click on the Delete selected button.
3. Delete all orders. Click on the View orders link in the ORDERS side box, then select Full list in the Range: option and select the check box next to ID (all orders will be selected). After that click on the Delete selected button.
4. Remove the discount and coupon information. Click on the Discounts and coupons link in the CATALOG side box, then select the left top check boxes next to Name in the Discounts section and next to Coupon code in the Discount coupons section. After that click on the Delete selected button. Then click on the next tab and repeat the actions.
5. Remove all demo banners. In order to do it click on the Manage ads link in the LOOK AND FEEL side box, then select the left top check box next to POS. (all banners will be selected in the list). After that click on the Delete selected button.
6. Remove all demo news. In order to do it click on the Site news link in the CMS side box, then select the left top check box next to Date (all news will be selected in the list). After that click on the Delete selected button.
