Setting up CS-Cart with USPS

To set up CS-Cart with USPS:
  1. Log in your administrator panel and click on the Shipping settings link in the ADMINISTRATION side box on the right.
  2. Disable the Disable shipping and the Enable Intershipper check boxes (if they are selected), select the Enable USPS check box, then click on the Update button at the bottom to save the changes.
  3. Click on the USPS tab to open its settings. Fill your USPS user ID in the User ID field.
  4. Make sure that test mode is disabled. USPS service does not work normally in this mode. Test mode allows to execute only some special requests.
  5. Click on the Update button to save the changes.
  6. Click on the Shipping methods link in the SHIPPING/TAXES side box on the left. There is the USPS Media Mail shipping method defined by default in standard CS-Cart.
  7. For instance, click on the Edit button beside the USPS Media Mail entry to modify this shipping method.
  8. Select Realtime in the Rate calculation field, select USPS Media Mail in the Shipping service field.
  9. Click on the Update button below the Available field.
  10. Define shipping charges which will be added to ones returned by real-time shipping service if it is needed under the Shipping charges section.
  11. Click on the Test button next to the Shipping service field to make a test calculation of shipping charges.
